The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things
(Phil 4:9)
Highly Contagious Christians
Caughtnot taught Have you ever heard that saying? Words can certainly accompany an example but it is hard to teach with words alone.
Paul set an example for others to follow. His teachings were well received by those who had already observed his walk of faith.
Brethren, join in following my example, and observe those who walk according to the pattern you have in us. (Phil 3:17)
For you yourselves know how you ought to follow our example, because we did not act in an undisciplined manner among you, nor did we eat anyones bread without paying for it, but with labor and hardship we kept working night and day so that we would not be a burden to any of you; not because we do not have the right to this, but in order to offer ourselves as a model for you, so that you would follow our example. (2 Thess. 3:7-9)
The believers in Philippi had great memories of Pauls example of faith.
Today in worship, we will look at Pauls first visit to Philippi. We will take special note of his faith and how his boldness was easily caught by others.
What happens when people observe your example? Do they see you as an example of faithor, do they look at your life and see one blending into the culture?
Father,
Let my life shout Your praises! I pray that those who come in contact with me will quickly observe that You live in my heart.
